大學英語（B）考試大綱

(2010年3月修訂)

試點高校網絡教育部分公共基礎課全國統一考試，旨在遵循網絡教育應用型人才的培養目標，針對從業人員繼續教育的特點，重在檢驗學生掌握英語基礎知識的水平及應用能力，全面提高現代遠程高等學歷教育的教學質量。

“大學英語”課程是現代遠程教育試點高校網絡教育實行全國統一考試的部分公共基礎課之一。該課程的考試是一種基礎水平檢測性考試，考試合格者應達到與成人高等教育本科相應的大學英語課程要求的水平。

考試對象

教育部批準的現代遠程教育試點高校網絡教育學院和中央廣播電視大學“人才培養模式改革和開放教育試點”項目中自2004年3月1日（含3月1日）以后入學的本科層次學歷教育的學生，應參加網絡教育部分公共基礎課全國統一考試。

“大學英語（B）”考試大綱適用于除英語類和藝術類專業以外的其他專業高中起點與專科起點本科學生。

考試目標

本考試旨在考查現代遠程教育所有專業（除英語類和藝術類專業）的學生掌握英語基礎知識的水平及應用能力。考生應掌握基本的英語語法知識和詞匯，具備運用不同語言技能進行交際的基本能力。

考試內容與要求

【語法】 考生應較好地掌握基本的英語語法知識，并能在交際中較正確地加以運用。

【詞匯】 考生應認知3 000個單詞，并熟練掌握其中的1 800個單詞及其基本的搭配。

【交際能力】 考生應掌握日常生活常見情景中的基本交際用語。

【閱讀】 考生應能讀懂與日常生活和社會活動相關的不同類型的文字材料，包括應用文、描述文、記敘文、說明文和議論文等，閱讀速度為每分鐘50個單詞。

考生應能：

1． 理解主旨要義；

2． 理解文中具體信息；

3． 根據上下文推測生詞詞義；

4． 進行有關的判斷、推理和引申，理解作者的意圖、觀點或態度。

【翻譯】考生應能在10分鐘內將3個難度適中的英文句子翻譯成中文。考生應能：

1. 對英語原文有準確的理解；

2. 做到譯文通順、達意。

【寫作】 考生應能在30分鐘內寫出長度不少于80詞的常見應用文及一般的敘述文、說明文或議論文。考生應能：

1． 用較正確的語法、詞匯、拼寫、標點進行表達；

2． 基本做到內容切題，結構嚴謹，條理清楚；

3． 根據不同的寫作目的進行有針對性的寫作。

考試方式與時間

考試為基于網絡的閉卷考試。考試滿分為100分，時間為90分鐘。除翻譯與寫作部分采用人工閱卷外，其他部分采用機器閱卷。考試由全國高校網絡教育考試委員會組織命題，在同一時間全國統考。

Passage 1

The United States covers a large part of the North American continent. Its neighbors are Canada to the north and Mexico to the south. Although the United States is a big country, it is not the largest in the world. In 2000, its population was over 222 million.

When this land first became a nation, after winning its independence from England, it had thirteen states. Each of the states was represented on the American flag by a star. All these states were in the eastern part of the continent. As the nation grew toward the west, new states were added and new stars appeared on the flag. For a long time, there were 48 stars. In 1959, however, two more stars were added to the flag, representing the new states of Alaska and Hawaii.
