Index是啥？
書后面的index實際上是inverted index，是用來查找的。
是一個詞，出現(xiàn)在document的什么地方，page number。f(Word) returns a set of locations (e.g., pages or documents).
Invert的意思是Turn it upside down.
Inverted index是用來記錄一個詞出現(xiàn)在哪個文檔，以及在哪個文檔中出現(xiàn)的頻率。

相對的是forward index。Crawler把文檔爬下來，然后分析，看這樣一個文檔，你知道有哪些詞出現(xiàn)過，每個詞出現(xiàn)的頻率。f(locations_eg_pages_or_documents) = set of words and their corresponding frequency.
